WORLD STROKE DAY-29th OCTOBER Sri Ramachandra Faculty
Alumni Speak
The 4.5 years spent here have been full of learning opportunities that were full of innovative lectures, Hands-on practical experience, attending conferences etc. Venturing into a new chapter, I carry the gift of your wisdom and guidance. The experience gained at SRFOT played a crucial role in receiving an opportunity to work in ABLE UK a multidisciplinary Paediatric clinic in Dubai. I am eagerly anticipating the start of my career in the UAE. My heartfelt Gratitude to faculties of SRFOT for their immense support, encouragement and guidance.
Spending four and a half years at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research was a life-changing experience. The lush green campus wasn’t just scenic—it was a sanctuary of learning, laughter, and personal growth. From early morning lectures to late-night study sessions, every corner of the campus holds a memory. Being part of the Occupational Therapy College was a privilege. The department had excellent infrastructure, including separate clinic facilities that gave us hands-on exposure to real-world therapeutic practice.
Being an alumna of SRFOT is a treasured milestone in my journey. The vibrant blend of academics and extracurricular helped me grow beyond the classroom. SRFOT wasn’t just a college, it was where I discovered my identity and confidence. Forever proud, forever grateful, SRFOT will always be a part of who I am.
My years at SRIHER in the BOT program were both challenging and rewarding. The comprehensive curriculum, experienced faculty, hands-on training, and diverse patient exposure built a strong clinical foundation. The inclusive campus fostered collaboration, inquiry, and compassion. I’m grateful for the mentorship and proud to be an alumnus of a college that prioritizes excellence and holistic development.
The Faculty of Occupational Therapy offers a comprehensive and dynamic educational environment that nurtures both academic and clinical excellence. The curriculum is well-structured, evidence-based, and aligned with current global standards. Throughout both programs, I was exposed to a wide range of learning experiences that went beyond textbooks—hands-on clinical training, interdisciplinary collaboration, and opportunities for research and presentation. I will carry forward it to my therapeutic practice life long.
My journey with the Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Occupational Therapy (SRFOT) has been truly enriching. I found this environment both supportive and nurturing throughout my seven years of undergraduate and postgraduate education. Though I was never the loudest in the room, the learning atmosphere, faculty support, and clinical exposure spoke volumes. The department gave me the space to grow at my own pace, build strong clinical and academic foundations.
Studying at Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Occupational Therapy has been an enriching and transformative experience. Our institution emphasizes evidence – based learning, professionalism, and compassion—qualities essential for future therapists. Hands-on training in OPD and IPD settings, along with opportunities in research, community service, and interprofessional collaboration, greatly enhanced my skills and confidence. I’m grateful for the mentorship, support, and values instilled during my time here, which continue to guide my professional journey.
My journey through Undergraduate and Postgraduate Occupational Therapy programs was transformative. Undergrad built a strong foundation with clinical exposure. The supportive community and rigorous training prepared me to impact lives meaningfully. I cherish the memories, friendships, and growth that continue to shape my career.
“I am honored to earn my Bachelor of Occupational Therapy degree from this prestigious institution. The university placement cell arranged an excellent opportunity for me to interview at the NHS UK after graduation. The Band 6 Occupational Therapist position was successfully awarded to me by St George’s University Hospital in London to work with elderly patients. I reached this position, which allows me to implement my acquired knowledge for practical purposes.
As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, I work in the medical and surgical division of Whipps Cross Hospital in London. The undergraduate study for Occupational Therapy at SRIHER (2017-2022 batch) transformed my life completely. Through the international campus placement at SRIHER I obtained my position in the UK. My time at SRIHER was one of the most significant achievements I have ever experienced.”
